On Thursday, April 26, Phyllis S. Zilkha, Ph.D. held an informative seminar to teach

1. How to deal with congnitive changes of your loved one.
2. How to handle your emotions as you move through these new life stages.
3. How to discover if assisted living is the ideal solution

Dr. Phyllis Zilkha is a prominent psychologist in private practice in New York City, with a subspecialty in geriatrics. She is on the Executive Board of the Clinical Division of the NYS Psychological Association and serves as a consultant to long term care and assisted living facilities.
As an expert, she is extensively quoted in the
media, (e.g. the NY Post, Cosmopolitan, House and Garden) and has appeared on various TV stations including CNBC and the CBS Morning Show.
   
Dr. Zilkha discusses how to recognize signs of dementia in loved ones. The memory loss associated with Alzheimer's is not the same as regular, age-related memory loss. (43 seconds)
